Don't like eating fruits? Want to eat healthy but you are too lazy? Then it is time to shift to the most delicious way to a healthy lifestyle - SMOOTHIE.


Whether it’s about having a healthy breakfast or a dessert, smoothie is your go to drink. Freshly prepared smoothies are the best breakfast one can have. It is not only healthy but is also an energy drink. Some people try avoiding certain fruits and vegetables like Kale, papaya, beetroot etc. Smoothies can make these less difficult and more appealing to consume.





The first ever smoothie was sold at Health food stores on the West Coast of the United States in the 1930s. Since then smoothies have been trending and are in such high demand. The smoothie is being modified by fast food chains with the addition of sweeter ingredients like chocolate and syrups. In the 2000s, the smoothie was made at home as an alternative for daily consumption of fruits and vegetables.


The nutritional aspect of a smoothie varies and depends on the ingredients that are being used to make it. It also depends on the portions in which the smoothie is being served.


Smoothies are very easy to make. In home-made smoothies it is easy to control what is being added and in what amount. They are free of any preservatives and additives.





Here are some lip-smacking smoothies from our kitchen.


  1. APPLE, BEETROOT AND CARROT SMOOTHIE


Just call it ABC. This smoothie is a combination of apples that are rich in antioxidant properties. These are blended with high-fiber beetroots and carrots.


  1. GREEN SMOOTHIE


Green leafy spinach blended with a banana and a fruity papaya in milk. This smoothie is very healthy and can help you in curing one's caffeine addiction.





  1. PROTEIN SMOOTHIE


With high protein content and a super grain for the people who love gyming, this smoothie is a unique blend of peanut butter, honey, oats and banana.
